Advanced Finnish language

What you’ll learn

Students will improve their ability to read and listen at a native-like pace, understanding a wide range of topics in both spoken and written Finnish. They will confidently engage in both formal and informal conversations without frequent pauses or searching for words. Emphasis is placed on fluency, precision, and style in everyday communication as well as more nuanced interaction.

Requirements

Students should already be able to converse relatively freely in Finnish.

To enroll in our Finnish language courses, students must demonstrate proficiency in English. This ensures that all participants can fully engage with course materials and instructions, which are provided in English.

Fees

Tuition for the year is $340; the first attended semester in an academic year will be 180$ and the second semester is discounted to $160.

Payment is expected no later than the second class meeting of each semester.

Class placement

After registration, students will be placed in the appropriate class level based on their current proficiency in Finnish.
