Intermediate II Finnish language

The class is for students who have studied Finnish for a while and are able to converse more or less freely in Finnish.
Registration for 2024 Fall Semester is closed. Next semester starts January 11, 2025.
What you’ll learn
This course reinforces and builds on previously learned basic concepts on grammar and vocabulary in reading, listening and speaking. Students understand a wider range of word formation, sentence structure, and tenses in active and passive modes. Differences between spoken and written language are introduced. The class is conducted in Finnish as much as possible.
Requirements
Basic concepts of Finnish required.
Students must demonstrate proficiency in English to enroll in our Finnish language courses. This requirement ensures that all participants can effectively engage with the course materials and instructions provided in English.
Fees
Tuition for the year is 340$; the first attended semester in an academic year will be 180$ and the second semester is discounted to 160$.
Payment is expected no later than the second class meeting of each semester.
Class placement
After registration, all students will be assigned an appropriate class level, based on their level of proficiency of the Finnish language.
