Beginner II Finnish language

CEFR A2

This course continues to expand beginner-level vocabulary and grammar, introducing students to key language structures for everyday communication.

What you’ll learn

By the end of the first semester, students will be able to understand written and spoken sentences and frequently used expressions—such as those related to family, locations, and everyday life.

The course also introduces the Finnish language from a structural perspective. Students will explore key grammatical concepts including the partitive case, sentence types, and location-based expressions, which serve as the foundation for more complex communication.

Requirements

No previous exposure to Finnish language required. Students will learn basic conversational skills, as well as entry-level vocabulary and grammar.

To enroll in our Finnish language courses, students must demonstrate proficiency in English. This ensures that all participants can effectively engage with course materials and instructions, which are provided in English.

Payment is expected no later than the second class meeting of each semester.
